Our Yellowfin Tuna steaks are cut from tuna caught using a longline with circle hooks. Our fishery is Marine Steward Council certified (since November 8, 2018) and was the first industry led tuna fishery to be fully certified and recognized by the Marine Steward Council as a sustainable tuna fishery. Sushi grade, our tuna steaks are Grade A or better, with a texture more delicate than firm and are rich in colour.
“‘Ahi” actually means yellowfin tuna in Hawaiian, and has become the common way to describe this product.
Cooking Tip – Our tuna steaks are delicious prepared in many ways – as sushi/sashimi, broiled, grilled, baked or sauteed…and are delicious when seared to just medium rare, then served with a nicoise salad!
